Hit-run drink driver nabbed in Noble Park

Police have nabbed a drink driver after he was involved in a hit-run collision in Noble Park last night.

Investigators have been told a Toyota Prado collided into the rear of a car it was driving behind on Douglas Street about 11pm.

It is alleged the driver of the Toyota failed to stop at the scene and continued driving.

Officers intercepted the Toyota in Douglas Street with the driver returning a positive preliminary breath test.

The driver was taken to a police station for an evidentiary breath test and returned a reading of .193.

The 58-year-old Noble Park man had his licence immediately suspended and is expected to be charged on summons with careless driving, failing to exchange details and drink driving offences.
