Hobart CIB is investigating a burglary at 144 Macquarie St, Hobart, overnight, Tasmania Police say.
Police were called to the building about 7am this morning following reports of a breakin to a number of floors in the building.
Det Sgt James Semmens said that overnight offenders gained entry to the building via a stairwell.
"Once inside, the offenders accessed 4 of the 11 business levels," he said.
"At this stage, it appears that the offenders were looking for cash and small valuables."
Detectives are currently conducting a forensic examination and reviewing CCTV from the building.
