Hobart CIB investigates Macquarie St incident, TAS

Hobart CIB is investigating an incident during which a woman sustained non-life threatening injuries following a disturbance in Macquarie St, Hobart, Tasmania Police say.

Around 1pm today, police responded to a report of an injured woman in Macquarie Street, Hobart.

The woman sustained non-life threatening injuries after a disturbance at a nearby residence. She taken by ambulance to the Royal Hobart Hospital for treatment.

A man was arrested by police at the scene and is currently assisting police with the investigation. Both parties are known to each other. This matter is not a family violence incident.

Detectives at the Hobart CIB are seeking information from any members of the public who may have witnessed an injured woman on Macquarie Street in the vicinity of Downie Street, South Hobart.

Police would like to thank the witnesses that have already come forward for their valued assistance.
