Holes drilled into major pipeline project at Nabiac

Police are appealing for witnesses after a malicious damage incident at a large infrastructure project on the Mid North Coast.

About 2pm on Monday 13 January 2020, contractors noticed a large number of small holes drilled along an approximately 2km section of pipeline near a local government water treatment plant on Elliots Road, Nabiac.

Officers attached to Manning-Great Lakes Police District attended and commenced investigations.

It's estimated the damage will cost in excess of $150,000 to repair.

Police believe the damage occurred between Sunday night (12 January 2020) and Monday morning (13 January 2020).

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area during this evening, or who may have information which could assist detectives to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
