Home Invasion in Condell Park: Man Charged by Detectives

Taskforce Falcon detectives have charged a man after a couple was allegedly assaulted during a home invasion in Sydney's west earlier this year.

About 1.45am on 21 April 2026, two unknown people – both allegedly wearing masks and armed with a firearm – forced entry into a unit on William Street, Condell Park.

A resident of the home – a 60-year-old man – was allegedly assaulted while an unknown man demanded information from him, before the 60-year-old and a 57-year-old woman were held in a room at gunpoint.

While being threatened the woman dialled triple zero, before the unknown man realised and allegedly assaulted her, taking the phone and leaving the unit.

The phone was later recovered on Canterbury Road in Revesby.

The couple sought medical assistance for their injuries.

Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command commenced an investigation, before the matter was handed to State Crime Command's Taskforce Falcon under Strike Force Duncan.

Strike Force Duncan was established in January 2026 to investigate the supply of stolen motor vehicles used by Organised Crime Networks (OCN's).

Following extensive inquiries, strike force detectives identified the men were allegedly hired to carry out the attack but targeted the wrong location.
