Rockhampton Criminal Investigation Branch have launched an investigation after a person was located deceased at an Allenstown residence this afternoon.
Police were called at approximately 3:50pm to West Street, where the body of a woman was located inside the property.
A crime scene has been declared to investigate the death, which is being treated as suspicious.
A 35-year-old man is currently speaking with police.
Investigations are ongoing.
