The Trust Fund for Victims (TFV) is deeply concerned about the impact of the sanctions imposed by the United States on the International Criminal Court on 9 October 2026.
These sanctions risk inflicting further harm on victims and affected communities around the world, including children, women and men who have endured abduction, sexual violence, murder, torture, pillage, persecution and other heinous acts.
Sanctions may have the effect of disrupting financial channels, services, and partnerships that are essential for the delivery of measures to fulfil the reparative mandate of the Trust Fund for Victims of the ICC. Such measures include reparations and vital assistance delivered by the Trust Fund for Victims for physical, psychosocial and socio-economic rehabilitation, education, peacebuilding and memorialisation.
The TFV remains determined to mobilise resources for victims and to ensure the continuation of its programmes. It calls on all States, corporations and individuals to renew their support for victims and for the reparative mandate of the ICC, through support to the Fund.
Standing with victims means standing for the rule of law and investing in a peaceful future for all.
