Homicide investigation, Shorncliffe

Detectives investigating the death of a 52-year-old man at Shorncliffe on Sunday, September 25 have charged a man with murder.

Police were called to an Yundeh Street address at approximately 4.20pm, after the 52-year-old man was located deceased on the veranda of the share accommodation where he lived.

Following investigations by detectives from Carseldine Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) and the Homicide Investigation Unit, which included extensive interviews, crime scene analysis and post mortem results, police arrested a 34-year-old Shorncliffe man today, charging him with murder.

He has been denied police bail and is due in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow (September 28).

It will be alleged that both men were known to each other.
