Police have arrested a man as part of an ongoing homicide investigation into the death of a woman at Slacks Creek in the early hours of this morning, 12 August.
Just before 12.30am, emergency services were called to a Rowanda Street property in regard to an assault.
Police arrived at the address within minutes, where they located a 27-year-old Woody Point woman unresponsive.
Officers and paramedics performed CPR on the woman, before she was declared deceased at the scene around 1am.
Officers arrested a 37-year-old Slacks Creek man at the address, who is currently assisting police with inquiries.
A crime scene has been established at the address.
The man and woman were known to each other and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information that may assist this investigation to come forward.
