Police have launched a homicide investigation after the death of a woman at Taigum overnight, 23 August.
Emergency services were initially called to an Osprey Place address around 12:30am following a woman being located unresponsive.
Upon arrival, a 47-year-old Taigum woman was located unresponsive with critical injuries and was subsequently declared deceased at the scene.
Following initial investigations, officers attended a Hackman Street, McDowall address around 1:10am and located a 52-year-old man, who is currently assisting police with their enquires.
Two crime scenes have been established at the Taigum and McDowall addresses.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious around the Osprey Place area overnight, or may have relevant CCTV footage, to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
