Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a man was located with life threatening injuries in St Kilda on 27 October.
The 24-year-old Brunswick East man was located near Jacka Boulevard just after 11pm and was taken to hospital in a critical condition but later died in hospital.
The exact circumstances surrounding the man's death are yet to be determined, and no arrests have been made.
