Homicide, Surfers Paradise

Police are investigating the death of a teenage boy at Surfers Paradise overnight.

Around 8.10pm on Surfers Paradise Boulevard, two groups of people became involved in an altercation and two 17-year-old males were stabbed, one in the chest and one in the chest and back. Both males were transported to Gold Coast University Hospital where one of the males died from his injuries.

Some of the people involved in the incident fled the scene.

Detectives are urging anyone who may have been involved in the altercation or witnessed the incident to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
