On behalf of the United States of America, it is my pleasure to wish the people of Honduras a joyous celebration of the 202nd anniversary of your independence on September 15. Honduras and the United States share a deep and enduring relationship and strong cultural and family ties.
The United States will continue to support Honduras in promoting economic growth and prosperity, strengthening democratic institutions, and fighting corruption and transnational crime. We look forward to our continued partnership, and I congratulate all Hondurans on this momentous occasion.
