The community is encouraged to have an 'eggcellent' Easter at Emerald Lake Precinct, with a free chocolate Easter egg giveaway for anyone using selected facilities.
On Easter Sunday, 4 April, from 11am until stock runs out, free chocolate Easter eggs will be given away to customers visiting the following facilities:
Nobelius Heritage Park:
- Emerald Museum
Emerald Lake Park:
- Lakeside Café
- Model Railway
- Lakeside Paddleboats
Cardinia Shire Council Mayor Councillor Brett Owen said Emerald Lake Precinct is an 'eggcellent' place to spend Easter with the family.
"We want to encourage the community to get outdoors and make the most of our magnificent parks and facilities this Easter.
"Emerald Lake Precinct is a much-loved community facility that includes the Emerald Lake Park and Nobelius Heritage Park. They look especially beautiful as the leaves fall during autumn. If you patronise the Lakeside Café, Model Railway, Lakeside Paddleboats or Emerald Museum at Nobelius Heritage Park on Easter Sunday, you'll receive free Easter eggs to make your day even sweeter.
"Be sure to bring the whole family along for an excellent day of learning about the history of this area at Emerald Museum, racing along Emerald Lake on the paddleboats, grabbing a coffee at Lakeside Café, and marvelling at the largest model railway in the Southern Hemisphere. There are plenty of other activities to enjoy at the park as well, such as going for a walk, seeing wildlife or having a picnic," Cr Owen said.
The free chocolate Easter egg giveaway is being held in place of the annual Easter Egg Hunt, which could not be held due to current Victorian Government COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines.
