A major milestone has been reached at the Horsham City Oval precinct, with the highly anticipated Netball Pavilion project now officially at lock-up stage.
Construction began on 6 November 2024, and over the past several months, locals and visitors alike have watched the facility take shape.
Now, with the structure secured from the elements and external factors, it marks a significant step towards its planned completion date of 28 November 2025.
The new pavilion is set to be a valuable addition to the City Oval precinct elevating the future of sport and community connection in the region—encouraging participation, enhancing experiences for players and spectators, and strengthening regional pride.
"This project is about more than just infrastructure—it's about creating spaces where our community can grow, thrive and come together," said Mayor Cr Ian Ross.
The Netball Pavilion is proudly supported by funding from Sport and Recreation Victoria, the Australian Government's Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program, and Horsham Rural City Council.
The community is encouraged to keep an eye on the site as it moves closer to completion, with official celebrations planned for later in the year.
