Horsham primed for Saturday's Live Nation event with Alice Skye

Music promoter Live Nation is bringing a free concert to Horsham this Saturday 10 December featuring hometown artist Alice Skye.

The concernt will run from 1pm to 5pm at the Sawyer Park Soundshell.

Alice is a Horsham local and Wergaia woman who shot to stardom after winning the 2017 Triple J Unearthed Indigenous award.

Support acts include Emma Donovan and the Putbacks, as well as Carrisa Nyalu.

The event is part of Live Nation's Homegrown Regional Concert Series.

Horsham Rural City Council is supporting the event as it increases opportunities for people to enjoy live music in a safe, family friendly environment.

Mayor Robyn Gulline expects preparations for this event to pay off.

"This event provides a great opportunity for friends and family to enjoy Saturday afternoon listening to some great music and homegrown talent," she said.

"It will be great to see a local indigenous artist headline this concert."

"Huge efforts have been made by Horsham Rural City Council to plan this event and set up the venue, these efforts will continue up until and throughout the event," Cr Gulline said.
