Eligible automotive businesses can now register their interest to host public electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure at their premises.
As part of the Dealership and Repairer Initiative for Vehicle Electrification Nationally (DRIVEN) Program, the DRIVEN Charger Grant Stream provides $20 million to fund the purchase and installation of public EV fast charging stations at eligible:
- automotive dealerships
- service centres
- EV repairer sites.
The grants stream aims to:
- deliver more public fast EV charging stations across Australia
- support automotive dealerships and EV repairers to diversify their business
- facilitate partnerships between Australian automotive dealerships or EV repairers and EV charging businesses.
