House damaged by fire, NSW

Inquiries are underway into the cause of a fire which damaged a home in Sydney’s south west overnight, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to a home on Fifteenth Avenue at Kemps Creek just before 11.45pm (Monday 15 January 2018), and found a house alight.

Officers from Fire & Rescue NSW worked to control the blaze which caused significant damage to the home.

Two adult occupants escaped the home. A 46-year-old man was treated for smoke inhalation.

A crime scene has been preserved until the morning when it will be examined.

The cause of the fire is still to be determined, however, it is not being treated as suspicious.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
