House Destroyed By Fire At Dubbo

An investigation has begun after a house was destroyed by fire in the state's mid-west overnight.

About 6.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 25 June 2025), emergency services were called to a home on Mendooran Road, Brocklehurst about 10km north of Dubbo, following reports of a fire.

Rural Fire Services found the house well alight, and worked to extinguish the blaze; however, the home was destroyed, and the structure collapsed.

A resident, believed to be a man in his 60s, has yet to be accounted for.

At this stage, there are no reports of injuries.

A crime scene was established by officers attached to Orana Mid Western Police District.
