House destroyed by fire at Elderslie, NSW

Fire has destroyed a home in Sydney's south-west overnight.

Emergency services were called to Cruikshank Street, Elderslie, about 9.50pm (Friday 1 February 2019), and found a two-storey house well alight.

Three people who were inside the home when the fire started – a 21-year-old man and two boys aged 16 and eight – escaped without injury. Their parents arrived home a short time later.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command have been told the fire started in a bedroom.

Fire investigators are expected to examine the scene later today (Saturday 2 February 2019); however, it's not believed to be suspicious.

Inquiries are continuing.
