Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police were called to attend a house fire in Dares Road, Levendale on Sunday the 12th of June 2022.
Just before 8 PM a resident of the house reported a fire in the loungeroom to Tasmania Fire Service. Volunteer units from Woodsdale, Orielton, Buckland and Runnymede Brigades attended the scene, finding the house fully involved by fire. Despite efforts, the house was unable to be saved and it was fully destroyed.
The sole occupant of the house, a 17-year-old male, was able to evacuate the house. He was treated by Ambulance Tasmania for minor smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time. Damage to the residence is estimated at between $300,000 – $400,000 in value.
