House fire - Toongabbie, NSW

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a house fire in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.

About 12.30am tomorrow, emergency services were called to Lamonerie Street, Toongabbie, following reports of a house fire.

The blaze was extinguished a short time later by Fire & Rescue NSW; however the roof of the house was significantly damaged.

Nearby residents were evacuated as a precaution.

The home was unoccupied at the time, and nobody was injured.

A crime scene has been established and will be examined by forensic specialists.

Officers attached to Parramatta Local Area Command are conducting inquiries into the incident, with the cause of the fire still to be determined.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
