House of Flux exhibition to open at Living Arts Space

A new exhibition featuring a photo-media collection made inside the home will open to visitors at the Bendigo Visitor Centre's Living Arts Space on Saturday March 13 from 2pm to 4pm.

House of Flux is a solo exhibition from Nikita Hederics, who settled in Bendigo in 2020 and works from a home studio.

Visitor Services Manager Jemma Docherty said the artist captured everyday phenomena at home for this collection.

"House of Flux provides a unique experience," Ms Docherty said

"The artist reveals practices for softening, supporting and releasing movement through the space we inhabit.

"Sitting in her home studio, the artist often moved towards the areas of the space where light and shadows played. The collection captures these small shifting patterns, visual markers of passing through time, using materials at her home.

"We look forward to welcoming visitors to the official of House of Flux where they can enjoy this unique exhibition in a COVID-safe way and hear from the artist."

The exhibition will be open until Sunday, April 11, 2021.

The Living Arts Space is in the Bendigo Visitor Centre, 51-67 Pall Mall. Open 9am to 5pm daily (except Christmas Day).
