Detectives from Mossman Criminal Investigation Branch are continuing investigations to identify skeletal remains discovered in Mossman Gorge last week.
Police recovered what appears to be human remains in Mossman Gorge River after a member of the public alerted them to the find on August 22.
Police divers conducted a search of the area and recovered further bones on August 28 and August 29.
The comprehensive search has concluded and no further remains have been located.
Forensic testing is underway to establish the origin of the remains.
Investigations are continuing including the examination of currently missing person files.
