Hunt for man after Collingwood armed robbery

Police are seeking to identify a man following an armed robbery which occurred in Collingwood last week.

Police have been told a man entered a Smith Street clothing store about 10.40am on 9 May.

He selected a number of clothing items and when a staff member approached to assist him he produced a pair of scissors.

He threatened the staff member before fleeing the scene on foot.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The male is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance and described as approximately 20-years-old, about 180cm tall with a medium build.

He was wearing a Hawthorn Football Club beanie, green jacket with a black front pocket, dark blue pants and black Nike runners.

Detectives have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
