Narrandera Shire Council
Council is working on a number of projects to improve the quality of water provided to residents of Narrandera and an important component of this is hydrant and mains flushing. The 2021 flushing program will begin Thursday 8 July 2021 and will continue for approximately four weeks.
This is specialised work, so Council has engaged contractors who use an innovative pipeline and water loss management system called NO-DES. This technology minimises water loss and wastage, allowing water mains to be cleaned without service interruptions.
This program will be run annually and involves every pipe and hydrant in the water network. Following the completion of the program residents will see a long-term improvement in water quality.
