Detectives from the Icarus Taskforce have charged a man after border-controlled drugs were located at a property in Melbourne.
A warrant was conducted at a property in A'Beckett Street, Melbourne about 8am on 26 September following an investigation into alleged drug importation and trafficking through the post.
A 39-year-old man was arrested at the scene and the address searched.
It is alleged approximately 1kg of heroin was located and numerous items that indicated the preparation of drugs for sale.
The Malaysian national has been interviewed and charged with possession of border-controlled drug reasonably suspected of being imported.
The man will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court this evening.
