Identity of bike rider sought, South Australia

Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify a bicycle rider who was found with serious injuries in Dernancourt this afternoon.

About 5pm Friday 18 January, police and paramedics were called to Lower North East Road, near Christopher Street after reports a man had fallen from his BMX bike. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

The man, possibly named Richard, was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

The man aged in his 30's, is Caucasian with a shaved head. He was riding a black and blue BMX style bike (pictured) and was wearing a black helmet, grey shorts, a white t-shirt and black and red Nike's.

Police have been unable to identify the man and ask anyone who may recognise the pictured bike or be able to identify the rider to contact the Police Assistance Line on 131 444.
