Identity sought after $26k designer sunglasses burglary

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released images as part of their investigation into a burglary where sunglasses valued at about $26,000 were stolen.

Investigators have been told two men smashed into a store at The District Docklands on Friday 13 August about 4am.

They forced entry into the store by smashing the glass doors. They then rummaged through cabinets and fled with the designer sunglasses.

They were last seen travelling east on Studio Lane on bicycles.

Investigators have released images of two men they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.

The first man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance with a medium build. He was wearing a dark hoodie, brown pants, black shoes and blue surgical mask. He was carrying a light-coloured shopping bag around his neck and was riding a light-coloured bicycle.

The second man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance with a medium build. He was wearing a red hoodie, black jacket and blue tracksuit pants. He was carrying a white shopping bag.
