Identity theft - what everyone needs to know

MidCoast Council

Taree Library will host a free information session with advice on recovering from identity theft and reducing the risk.

Each year more than 150,000 Australians are victims of identity crime. You can get help if you've experienced identity theft. There are also things you can do to help minimise your risk.

The NSW Government has established ID Support NSW to improve community awareness of identity theft.

Join ID Support NSW at Taree Library on Wednesday 22 February at 10:30am.

You'll find out what to do if your NSW Government proof of identity documents or credentials are ever stolen or fraudulently accessed.

You'll also learn steps you can take to proactively protect your personal information.

Booking is essential. Reserve your spot online at https://library.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/Events/ID-Support-NSW or contact Taree Library on 6592 5290.

This information session is supported by MidCoast Council Libraries and the NSW Government.
