Police are responding to a incident in Māngere where a person has been hit by a vehicle.
The incident has occurred on Thomas Road at around 11.45am.
Sadly the person has died at the scene.
Cordons are in place on Thomas Road where the incident occurred and these are expected to be in place for some time.
The Serious Crash Unit will be examining the scene.
Police are currently making enquiries into the vehicle involved in this incident.
These enquiries are still in the early stages and a further update will be provided once available.
