Increase in Annual Monetary Limit for DVA Scheduled C items

From 1 January 2020, the Annual Monetary Limit (AML) for schedule C items on the DVA Fee Schedule of Dental Services for Dentists and Dental Specialists.

The increase of 1.6 per cent, which will take the AML to $2604.20, is the same rate of indexation as the one applied on 1 July 2019 for other dental and allied health items.

The updated fee schedule will be available in early January 2020 at Dental and Allied Health fee schedules

The scheme is open to Australian Defence Force veterans who are eligible to receive a range of medical services from the Department of Veterans' Affairs including free or subsidised treatment from any dentist registered to provide services through the Medicare Benefits Scheme.

Eligible veterans are issued with either a Gold Card or White Card, which are undergoing a re-design though the benefits and colour scheme will remain unchanged.
