There has been an increase in the theft of consumables items from the Snowy Monaro's public toilets including toilet paper, paper towelling and soap. The theft of these items has resulted in the damage of the dispensers holding them.
Council does not have an unlimited supply of these items. Council is requesting those responsible cease their actions and act with compassion and understanding during these difficult times.
If this theft and vandalism continues, Council will need to reassess how it provides public amenities in line with public and staff health and safety.
