Indecent assault charges - Police Transport & Public Safety Command, NSW

A man has been charged over alleged indecent assaults on the Sydney rail network, NSW Police say.

About 7.40pm on Wednesday 27 December 2017, a 34-year-old man boarded a train at Town Hall Railway Station, sitting near a 21-year-old woman.

While in the vicinity of North Ryde Railway Station, the man allegedly committed an indecent act in view of the woman.

The woman reported the incident to police after she left the train at Epping Railway Station.

About 6.50pm on Monday 8 January 2018, the same man boarded a train at Strathfield Railway Station, sitting opposite an 18-year-old woman.

When in the vicinity of Redfern Railway Station the man allegedly committed an act of indecency in view of the woman.

The incident was later reported to police.

About 8.15am on Wednesday 24 January 2018, the same man boarded a train at Eastwood Railway Station, sitting near a 25-year-old woman.

When in the vicinity of Strathfield Railway Station the man allegedly committed an act of indecency in view of the woman.

The incident was later reported to police.

At 9.40am today (Thursday 22 February 2018), officers from Police Transport & Public Safety Command commenced inquiries arrested a 34-year-old man when he attended Hornsby Police Station.

He was charged with commit act of indecency (x3), and wilful and obscene exposure (x3).

He was refused bail to appear at Hornsby Local Court today (Thursday 22 February 2018).

Inquiries continue.
