Indecent assault of woman on light rail -Sydney CBD

Sydney City detectives have released images of a man they would like to speak to in relation to an alleged indecent assault on the light rail at Central Station earlier this year.

About 9am, Monday 11 February 2019, two women boarded the light rail at Central Station and stood near the entry door.

One of the women felt something touching her from behind. When she turned around she noticed a man standing very close to her, allegedly committing an act of indecency.

The woman confronted the man and he left the carriage as it stopped at Paddy's Market.

The man police would like to speak to is described as being about 30-years-old, Indian Sub-Continental appearance, about 170cm tall, a slim build with dark hair. He was wearing black pants and a dark grey shirt and was carrying a backpack over his shoulder.

The woman reported the incident to police and an investigation commenced.
