Indecent behaviour, Sunnybank Hills

Police are seeking public assistance to help identify a man who indecently assaulted a woman in Sunnybank on January 21.

The woman was walking alone at around 11.25pm on Mains Road near the intersection of Pristina Street at Sunnybank when a man approached her from behind and held her before he indecently touched her.

The woman tried to break free but was unsuccessful before she screamed loudly. The man then ran off along Pristina Street away from Mains Road. The woman was not physically injured as a result of the incident.

Police believe a man described as in his 20's, approximately 170cm to 175cm tall, with proportionate build who travelled in a silver or grey colour sedan may be able to assist with inquiries into the incident.

The man was wearing a dark coloured cap and shorts at the time.

Police are also seeking assistance from anyone who may have captured dash cam footage of a man matching the description above or of the incident itself.

Similarly, anyone with any other relevant information of the incident, who has not yet spoken to police, is asked to make contact as soon as possible.
