Indecent treatment charges in Hervey Bay, QLD

Police have charged a man on Friday following an investigation into a number of serious offences, Queensland Police say.

A search warrant was executed at an address in Hervey Bay and a 30-year-old man was arrested on Friday and it will be alleged that police found a vast quantity of child exploitation material on a computer.

He has been charged with a total of eleven counts of indecent treatment of a child, three counts of making child exploitation material, six counts of burglary and two counts of wilful damage and one count of rape.

As part of the investigation, a number of other offences and victims in other parts of Australia are believed to have been identified.

Investigations are continuing.
