Following further controversies surrounding NAPLAN an independent external expert review of NAPLAN has been established. Dr Les Perelman, a distinguished academic with an extensive career at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T) will conduct the Review with further input being provided by academic colleagues. The Review has been commissioned by the NSW Teachers Federation on behalf of the teaching profession. The Review will report when the studies into a range of aspects of NAPLAN have been completed. The Review outcomes will then be made public.
