North East Link and SPARK have jointly appointed an Independent Reviewer and Environmental Auditor (IREA) to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the North East Link Tunnelling Package.
As part of our innovative, world-first contract structure, the IREA role will be undertaken through a joint venture between APP, Arup and Aurecon (AAAJV) to provide independent assurance that the project is delivered in accordance with all project requirements and objectives.
The role includes an Independent Reviewer (IR) and an Independent Environmental Auditor (IEA) under a single appointment.
The IR role involves an independent review of project activities including design reports, construction packages, and design and construction management. The IEA function will undertake environmental reviews and audits of project activities including assessing compliance with project approvals and more than 100 strict Environmental Performance Requirements.
