Information caravan set up following Whittlesea assault

Police will set up an information caravan today in Whittlesea as they continue to investigate a serious assault in August last year, Victoria Police say.

Whittlesea Crime Investigation Unit detectives have been told the 44-year-old man was assaulted by an unknown offender at the intersection of Church Street and Fir Street about 11.30pm on 20 August, 2017.

The Whittlesea man suffered serious injuries and was treated at hospital.

Investigators believe a number of people may be involved.

An information caravan will be set up in Fir Street, Whittlesea from 9am until 12pm today (26 February).

Detectives are keen to speak with anyone who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
