Injured Walker Cradle Mountain Summit, TAS

At approximately 2:00pm 5/1/2017 Police were advised of an injured walker on Cradle Mountain.  The injured walker a 45 year old female from New Zealand is on holiday with her family she suffered broken ribs when she slipped and fell in a steep section of track approximately 100 meters from the mountain summit.  Her husband phoned for assistance, Tasmania Police say.

The Westpac Rescue helicopter was deployed whereby and she was winched from her location.  The female has been transported to the Royal Hobart Hospital for further treatment.
