Inquiries continue after death of man at Budgewoi, NSW

Inquiries are continuing after the death of a man at Budgewoi, on the NSW Central Coast, this morning, NSW Police say.

Just before 3am, emergency services were called to Budgewoi Beach after a man was hit by a firework.

The man had sustained a serious head injury.

Despite the efforts of friends and emergency services at the scene, the 52-year-old man could not be revived.

Detectives from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command will be investigating the events leading up to the man’s death.

Initial inquiries suggest the man may have been lighting a firework at the time

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
