An investigation is underway following a crash on the M1 at Mooney Mooney this morning.
About 9.50am (Monday 25 August 2025), emergency services were called to the M1 near Mooney Mooney Bridge following reports of a crash.
At the scene, police were told that a truck and a car had collided causing the truck to roll onto its side.
The driver of the truck – a man believed to be aged in his 30s – was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to the Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
No other serious injuries have been reported to police.
Officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District and Central Coast Highway patrol have commenced inquiries into the incident.

Traffic in both directions has been significantly impacted. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and delay travel if possible.
