Insurers Head to Port Pirie for Insurance Hub

Insurers will soon revisit Port Pirie to meet with policyholders impacted by severe storms that hit the region in late November 2025.

The consultations, hosted by the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA), will provide a dedicated opportunity for locals to meet face-to-face with representatives from multiple insurers to discuss existing claims or lodge new ones.

Representatives from the ICA will also be available to answer questions about the claims process, outline dispute resolution pathways, and provide practical insurance information to support impacted policyholders.

Details of the consultations are below:

  • Date: Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 April 2026
  • Location: Royal Port Pirie Yacht Club - 61 Main Road, Solomontown, SA 5540
  • Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm

Registrations for the Insurance Hub are strongly recommended. Bookings can be made on the ICA website here.

Quotes attributable to ICA Director of Mitigation and Extreme Weather Response, Liam Walter:

The storm that impacted the Port Pirie region late last year brought strong winds and heavy rainfall, leaving widespread damage.

The ICA recognises the toll extreme weather takes on small communities, and insurers remain committed to supporting affected residents through the recovery process.

We encourage impacted policyholders to make an appointment to speak with their insurer.
