Interim Managers Appointed to Seven Dials Playhouse

UK Gov

The Charity Commission, the regulator of charities in England and Wales, has appointed Interim Managers to Seven Dials Playhouse Limited.

The charity was placed under statutory inquiry in May 2025 to investigate ongoing concerns over its long-term financial viability.

The Commission has now appointed Interim Managers to the charity, whose role it is to undertake specific tasks in line with the charity's governing document.

The charity's trustee board will continue in the management, administration, and governance of the charity whilst Joseph Colley and Ryan Davies of Moore Kingston Smith & Partners LLP undertake the following tasks to the exclusion of the trustees:

  • identifying the charity's assets and liabilities
  • assessing the charity's viability, including determining whether the charity's current business plan is fit for purpose and adequate to turn the charity's financial prospects around

Based on the initial findings of the Interim Managers, the Commission will consider whether the Interim Managers remain in place to undertake the following task alongside the trustees:

  • developing a comprehensive business plan that the trustees can use to assist them in turning around the financial prospects of the charity

Interim Managers were appointed on 20 October 2025. The Commission's inquiry into the charity remains ongoing.
