On Wednesday, November 19, International Men's Day (IMD) invites us to reflect on the incredible contributions of men and boys in our community, and also to recognise the unique challenges they face, especially in rural areas.
This year's theme, Supporting Men and Boys, is a reminder of the important roles men and boys play in our families, workplaces, and communities. It encourages us to recognise their contributions, celebrate their strengths, and ensure they feel supported and valued.
International Men's Day gives us the chance to pause and say—we see you, we appreciate you, and we're here for you. This is a time for us to celebrate all that they do, while also recognising the importance of mental health.
This year, we're coming together to celebrate our local men and boys, and to create a safe space for conversation and connection. Two key events will take place on 19 November:
