Intruder steals handbag at Marden, South Australia

Police are investigating a break-in and theft at Marden overnight.

Just after 4.30am on Wednesday 31 March, patrols were called to Pitt Street, after reports of an intruder having broken into the property through the front door. The suspect demanded keys to a car and then fled on foot with a handbag. He is described as being Caucasian, aged around 30 years, 173cm tall, slim build and wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants and a black mask.

Police searched the area with the assistance of PD Bandit and his handler and located the victim's handbag in the front yard of a nearby property on Wear Avenue. The suspect was not located.

No one was physically injured and investigations are continuing.
