Missing Person Squad detectives are currently in Lakes Entrance as part of the ongoing investigation into the suspicious disappearance of Bradley Lyons.
The 30-year-old Lakes Entrance man was last seen arriving home from work at his McCullough Street address about 12pm on Sunday 2 December 2018.
He has not been seen or heard from since.
Bradley was reported missing to police by a family member in Queensland on 11 December.
Police hold grave concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is considered to be extremely out of character.
His wallet and phone were found at home and he has had no contact with family or friends for over two months.
Missing Person Squad Detective Inspector Andrew Stamper said investigators have travelled to Lakes Entrance this week in the hope of getting further information about Bradley's current whereabouts.
"We know there is a lot of local speculation and rumour about what has happened to Bradley," he said.
"There also seems to be some comentary on social media sites.
"We're hoping that by travelling to Lakes Entrance we can look more specifically at some of those pieces of information, however it's crucial that people come forward and speak to us.
"There are a number of detectives investigating this case in Lakes Entrance at the moment, so if there are people who want to tell us more about what they know, now is the time.
"I'm urging those people to contact local police or Crime Stoppers with their details and we can arrange to meet with you.
"I'm confident there are people in the Lakes Entrance area who know what has happened to Bradley and again, I'm urging those people to come forward and help us get some answers."
Police have re-released an image of Bradley in the hope that someone may have information on his current whereabouts or circumstances of his disappearance.
He is described as about 177cm tall, with a thin build, brown eyes and dark brown hair.
