Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating an armed robbery in Grantville on Monday (8 October), Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told a man entered a bank on Bass Highway about 10.55am armed with a knife and hammer.
He approached two different bank attendants and made demands for cash before leaving empty-handed.
No one was injured during the incident.
The man was wearing a balaclava, long-sleeved high-visibility polo top and dark track pants at the time.
