Police have commenced an investigation following an alleged stabbing in Sydney's south west overnight.
About 12.20am today (Tuesday 16 September 2025), emergency services were called to Sir Joseph Banks Street, Bankstown, following reports a man was seriously injured.
On arrival, officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were told a 19-year-old man had been stabbed on Waterloo Road, Greenacre, before he was taken to Bankstown in a car by a person known to him, where Triple-Zero (000) was called.
NSW ambulance paramedics treated the 19-year-old for stab wounds to the back and leg, before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
Police established crime scenes at both Sir Joseph Banks Street, Bankstown, and Waterloo Road, Greenacre.
